CLASS OF 2000 will have their reunion on Saturday, June 19, 2010. It will begin with a picnic and tour at West Burlington High School at 11:00 AM then dinner and drinks at the Drake around 5:00 PM.
West Burlington Arnold High School Alumni Update
Homecoming for 2010 will be Friday, October 1st so plan now to become a member of the West Burlington Alumni Association and attend our celebration after the Homecoming game. We hope all of you help to encourage your classmates to become members of the Alumni Association. We also need your help to build our all alumni contact list so please forward any contact information on yourself or classmates to mary.storch@wbschools.us and this will help to forward communications for all planned events. Alumni Scholarship Information:
The graduating classes of 1964-1969 collected money at one of their reunions which was the beginning of the Alumni Scholarship Fund. The largest contributor to the fund was $3000 from the Verald "Ping" Fritz memorial. Mr. Fritz was a long time custodian at West Burlington Schools. The 1981, 1982, and 1983 graduating classes also contributed to this fund at one of their reunions. We have had anonymous donations also which has allowed us to give two scholarships on several occassions. The very first receipent of the scholarship was Doni Mickey from the class of 2000. Each year we have given at least one scholarship and some years two scholarships.
Our goal is to increase our fund from donations and to get more alumni involved. If you are interested in donating to this fund or if you are interested in participating on the committee please contact Mary Storch Mary.Storch@wbschools.us or Ned Fry monkeyre@mchsi.com.
